Naked MultiStrata
Project By: Nick Czerok (coastalducaticlub@gmail.com)
I bought this bike off Ebay in Feb. of last year. It had mostly body damage judging by the pictures. So the bike was delivered and I completely tore it down to the frame motor and suspension. I cut the horns of the front of the tank and used a marine plastic and epoxy to seal and finish it. The lower sides of the tank also had holes and mounting indents for the fairings, so I filled that and finished it. I sent the tank and rear plastic quarters out for paint. The wheels and clutch pressure plate got sent off to powerdercoating. I like the blue because I guessed it would go good with the silver. The biggest obsticle was moving the battery and electronics in the airbox. I had to buy a small battery. Make brackets to fit all the fuses and rellays and sensors in the airbox. The airbox cover no longer fit so I installed pod filters over the velocity stacks. That really cleaned up the entire bike. After the body work and wheels came back I started re assembly. I cut the front fender in half, made some brackets and mounted it to the bottom triples. I was going for the motard look. The oil cooler which was initaly mounted in the very front fairing had to be moved to the front of the motor much like a 900 Monster. I started getting really good at making aluminum brackets. After the wheels and bodywork were put together I started with the aftermarket goodies.
